Even in the time of Pandemic, first phase training for SMC's and PTA's officials conducted successfully by following safety measures

September 4, 2020: First phase of SMC (School Management Committee) and PTA (Parents and Teachers Association) training jointly organized by Centre for Educational Policies and Practices and Shramjibi Youth Forum was received by 5 schools of Bagmati Rural Municipality (BRM), Makawanpur District. The trainings were conducted in Shree Janasewa Basic School (Dhansai) on August 9, Shree Baaljyoti Basic School (Laamitaar) on August 10, Shree Janahit Basic School (Hilepaani) on August 11, Shree Sita Basic School (Thadikhola) on August 16 and Shree Surya Secondary School (maajhhaun) on August 18 for SMC and PTA officials. Total 79 participants from 5 schools took the benefit of the training on differenet dates. The objective of training was for enhancing the participation of parents, students and community in school management and enabling SMC and PTA to improve the school.

Responsibilities, duties and rights of the SMC and PTA were discussed in the training. Information about the current condition of the school was analyzed to review the immediate actions to be taken for the betterment of the school and to reach a consensus for improvement. The condition of implementation of the Annual Plan was also reviewed and found the areas that need to be improved in the coming days.

Participants were able to learn about the real situation of the school and identify their role for school improvement and they were also able to review the annual plan and make plan based on what is discussed in the training.
